Telepresence
1992
The human body, grossly attenuated by a diet of television, stretches to be in two places at once. The viewer is observed and thus consumed by the mediavore metabolism.
Computer-driven, machine-enhanced human skeleton responds to movement of onlookers with interest (tracking and observing their movements) or boredom (watching cable TV)
Telepresence was shown at
Anaesthetics, Ways of Seeing
, Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, MA, Sep 22 to Dec 01, 1992
